Construction company website design: Skedsmo Entreprenør

Skedsmo Entreprenør is a general contractor near Oslo that builds homes, extensions and renovations. I took over their website, moved it to their own domain without losing a single URL and built a page for every service and every town their customers search for.

In short

Skedsmo Entreprenør got a faster, larger contractor website: 10 service pages, 8 service area pages, a project gallery with 138 real photos and one quote form that works on every page. Images are 86% lighter, and a contact form that used to send nothing now delivers every lead to the company inbox.

The starting point

The new site was half finished: it did not run on the company domain, the contact form sent no email, and there were only five service pages. A homeowner searching for a home extension in Lillestrøm or a full renovation in Kløfta could not find a page that answered exactly that.

The goal was a construction company website that makes the phone ring: one clear path to a quote, a page for every service and service area, and photos that load fast on a phone.

What I built

  1. A homepage that shows the build. Eight AI images show a house growing from an empty lot to a finished home as you scroll.
  2. A redesign without losing rankings. Every page kept its URL, moved pages got 301 redirects, and the site went live on its own domain with SSL.
  3. A quote form that works. The old form sent nothing. Now every lead lands in the company inbox, and one «Get a quote» window opens from every button, on mobile too.
  4. Pages people actually search for. 10 service pages (five new), a pillar page for the contractor and 8 service area pages, from Lillestrøm to Jessheim.
  5. A project gallery with real photos. A commercial building renovation in Kløfta is shown with 138 photos from the site.
  6. A review mode for the owner. The owner could comment on any section of any page and send it to me by email.
  7. Privacy and Google. A cookie banner with Google Consent Mode v2, structured data (JSON-LD) and a domain property in Google Search Console.

The result

The website is live at skedsmoentreprenor.no. Images weigh 19 MB instead of 143 MB, the heaviest image went from 18 MB to 436 KB, and every lead arrives by email. The service and service area structure is local SEO for contractors done right: Google and AI assistants get one page to show for each search like «extension Lørenskog» or «bathroom renovation Skedsmokorset».

The same group also got a website for its concrete company, see the concrete contractor case study, and vehicle wrap designs in 3D.

Questions and answers

What should a construction company website include?

A page for each service, a page for each town you work in, real project photos, reviews, a quote form on every page and fast loading images. Add structured data so Google understands the business, and track every form so you know which pages bring leads.

How much does a contractor website cost?

It depends on the number of pages and features. I give a fixed price in writing before we start, so you know the full cost up front. Book a short call and you get a concrete proposal.

How do you redesign a website without losing Google rankings?

Keep every URL, or send it to the new page with a 301 redirect, and set up Google Search Console from day one to watch indexing. That is how this site moved to a new design and domain.

Why build a page for every service area?

Homeowners search for a service plus a town. A page that answers that exact search has a better chance to rank in Google and to be cited by ChatGPT or Gemini than one long page about everything. It is the core of local SEO for contractors.
